Sharing Thanks Received

For the last several years I have knitted or crocheted a blanket for the first baby born at my hometown hospital each year. Usually I get a printed form letter from the St. John's Auxillary thanking me for my donation. This year was different and special. I got a hand written note from the auxillary and a note from the family. My blanket is in the picture wrapping baby Noah. It was nice to be personally thanked and makes me want to make more blankets for more babies.

Little things like a thank you can mean so much.

I think I need to make a conscious effort to say "thank you" more myself to those who cross my path.

Happy Monday! I have exercise done, breakfast done, this post nearly done, will be starting on returning retweet favors with retweets of my own soon

Etsy shop is open again. A little sample of shop offerings is below and in the sidebar.

Back with more again soon. Take care and stay cozy!

Catching Up

I need to catch up on saying thank you to a couple bloggers. These kind ladies provided recipes on their blogs that I used recently and they were hits.

The first was some yummy caramel popcorn from Every Things Blue which is a great blog that shares with its readers on the topics of books, knitting, crocheting and the occassional recipe like the caramel corn. Thank you! I made this and took it to a dinner on Christmas Day and it was a hit!

The next recipe was for this caramel dipping sauce for fruit. It comes from the blog Whimsy Girl. I lightened it up a bit with fat free cream cheese, Splenda and the Splenda brown sugar blend. I used it as a drizzle on top of a Dutch Apple Pie. It reminded me of the Cinnabon Apple Pie you can get in the freezer case at grocery stores. Husband liked it enough to have it for breakfast one morning so that means it must be good. Thank you for sharing it!

Come on Over

Excuse me but I want to get your attention please. If you are seeing this post in a reader please click on what you need to to come on over to the actual blog. I want to show you something. Go ahead and click I'll wait........

Here now? Good. I want to point out to you the little widget on the right. Do you see it? The followers widget? I am simply amazed and extremely thankful that I have over 40 followers as of today. Thank you each and every one. I have tried to keep track of you and follow or subscribe to your blog feeds when you show up there if I am not reading your blogs already. All you need to do to put your avatar there if you haven't already is choose to follow the blog by clicking on "Follow this Blog".

What really makes me happy about this is that this little piece of code has given me the audience I write for in a visual form. I look over there at those guys and wonder if I will get any comments, will I make someone think in a new way, will my admittedly strange sense of humor (a bit dry I know) make someone smile? Will I be able to share with you a fantastic artist or item and help you discover something you would enjoy having?

The internet can be a big lonely place. You have all made it more friendly and I am grateful. Your avatars are bits of your personalities and I am glad you shared them with me. Thank you.

Many, Many Mini Thanks

Just catching up on the last group of bloggers who featured my shop on their blogs. I want to thank each and every one of you (57) who took the time this to write a feature and post it on their blogs. Some of you made me laugh, some made me smile and some made me think to answer questions but it was all good. What an enjoyable experience it is to be part of the EtsyBloggers Street Team.

Once again to all of you thanks so much!
