LazyT Crochet

If you are part of the EtsyBloggers Team you know that each month a new member is chosen to be blogged about by all members. It is a member perk and a wonderful way to give a fellow Etsy seller a boost.

This month we are sharing with you the shop and blog of LazyT Crochet. I have to say that being a knitter and crocheter myself I would say that I could make many of the things in her shop myself. I want you to know however that thinking this way does not stop me from admiring the design, colors and materials chosen for the beautiful and useful creations you will find in the Etsy home of LazyT Crochet.

A splendid example of what I mean is the hat below. The color is beautiful and the pattern stitch and textures of the different fibers create something that would make anyone happy to wear through the winter and be sad to pack away at the end of the season.

Maybe warmer colors are more your style? Look at the piece below. It is a lovely coral color done long, wide and fringed. This versatile shape can be used as a scarf or worn as a shawl or wrap when you need to keep your shoulders cozy and not just your neck.

The LazyT Crochet blog is filled with articles on the work of this very talented fiber artist as well as fun posts on food, friends, Etsy and other topics that cross her mind. When I last peeked she had 100 followers of her blog. Are you one of them?

Showing Off in September - Joey and Aleethea

If you are interested in some of the cutest infant and toddler clothes and accessories around you need to take a look at the shop Joey and Aleethea on Etsy. You can keep up with this very busy lady by starting at her blog. Frankly I get tired just thinking about all she does. She has a household with a toddler and a new baby, she sews, she blogs, she is admin of the EtsyBloggers and is a member of several other Etsy Street Teams. She does all the team graphics and is a constant cheerleader of all our endeavors. To use one of her favorite phrases -
Joey and Aleethea you rock!

A Month of Fame

That is what A Keeper's Jackpot has for July - a month of fame. All active members of the EtsyBloggers Street Team will be spreading the word about this great artist. You can find her works for sale in her Etsy shop.

Here is an example-Doesn't the necklace above say cool summer night to you? I love the delicate color of the beads combined with the silver.

I could not describe this necklace and better than the artist did herself.

While having nothing to do with an ocean, the color of the beads and the design of the pendant remind me of a tropical ocean... The beautiful Murano style glass pendant has shades of periwinkle and ocean blue. With imagination you can see seaweed and coral. The shape of the pendant is like that of a fish and you can picture its silver scales.

I love blogs for giving me the ability to take a peek into the lives of those whose work I admire. Knowing more about the artist behind the work makes it more meaningful to me. If you feel that way too then you need to head over to A Keeper's Jackpot blog. This blog covers the useful in a section of Etsy Tutorials, what's new in her My Projects section and fun stuff about the region she is from in the Adirondacks section. In typical EtsyBlogger share the love fashion she also has a section of Featured Artists that may help you find a new shop and artist you are interested in.

If you like giveaways and are not an EtsyBlogger(really who doesn't?) you want to get to her blog and take a look at the rules in this post. You have a chance to win the earrings you see pictured here.

So go check out the shop and the blog and tell her Cozy sent you!

What a Month

This has bee a month of big ups and downs.

I have had my blog and shop featured on nearly 50 other blogs and it has been so much fun to read and thank everyone with Etsy Minis. I have more of them to do but I am waiting until this weekend when my month of fame ends.

I got to go to Utah to visit grandkids and see soccer games and preschool graduations and celebrate a birthday.

On the down side I had to go get some major dental work started that is expensive and not much fun. I needed to see a doctor to get prescriptions renewed. I remember when I used to think that getting old was when you had to take pills every day for something. Well I have been there for a few years now.

My faithful old minivan died at 186000 miles and we donated it to the Kidney Foundation. To replace it we got a Hyundai Santa Fe. It is not as big but that is okay. You still are up higher in it than a car which I like and the gas mileage is decent.

Jim has had a terrible cough and won't slow down. He finally went to a doctor and was told he has pneumonia. Of course he called to say this as he was off to another meeting rather than resting to get better.

What a month!
