March Memories

Google told me that 17 years ago today I was taking pictures of this rug. The close up you see is the strips that I cut and latch hooked onto a base that I crocheted to make the rug. It is heavy and washing machines don't always handle it well. I need to pay attention to what I wash with it to help maintain balance during the spin cycle. I love this rug, I made it, I am still using it in my home and will from the looks of it keep using it for a very long time. It will very likely outlast me and then my kids can figure out what to do with it when they have the chore of cleaning out mom's things. At that point I won't know or care.

In other grand news, it is raining to day here in the desert and it is so wonderful! Rainy days are so rare here and deserved to be enjoyed whenever we are blessed to have one. The patio is completely wet now and it is still raining. I can hear the drops hitting some of the windows and I love that sound! How do you feel about rainy days? I suppose it depends on whether you live in Phoenix or Seattle.

Below you can check out one of the affiliate posts I put up on Blue Sky yesterday. I like the look of this sweatshirt and it has pretty good reviews. I did notice however that in the product title it says 4 leaf clover when the image only has 3 leaves. Maybe they need to check their content better.

A question for you...
Will you be wearing green on the 17th or do you just not bother?

First Weekend Back at Mohave Trading Post

So last weekend was the first one back at the Mohave Trading Post. 3 Busy Sisters, the is Karen, Kristi and me are going have a booth there for the next 2 months. I thought this first weekend went okay. I wasn't completely skunked after all. See the lemon kitchen towel in the picture on the right? I sold that. I know it is not much, but it is a start. The ice has been broken.

If you happen to be in the Bullhead City/Laughlin area come on by. We have a booth filled with Karen's woodwork, Kristi's tremendous sewing skills and my knits and crochets.

This week I have been working a new pattern, Icing Scarf, from Ravelry.com and some interesting yarn I found at Joann's. I'll show that knitting of when I get it done and blocked.

BTW any of my readers sad at finding out that Joann's will be going out of business?

Over on Blue Sky this week I posted some affiliate linked aquamarine jewelry for gift ideas for March birthdays. I was on such a daily hamster wheel posting all the time on X before I left and I don't want to repeat that in the new place. I am thinking I will check in there with my own new posts and reposts of my followers on Wednesdays for now. That frees up about 8 hours a week for more knitting (certainly not for housework LOL). You can find me there if you are interested at @CozybyKathy I follow back and repost if you follow or repost me. I think sharing that way is great for all of us.
