A Happy Weekend

I spent the weekend and a couple days on either end of it away from home, the blog and my twitter account. It was for a very good reason. We went to a wedding, and I wanted to focus on being in the moment with family members who were there. My daughter in law's daughter got married. There were bits of family drama but what event with some pretty big feelings and expectations doesn't have that? The drama, however, did not detract from the joy of the days.

The wedding was (or sealing since this was a Mormon ceremony) was held at the Payson Temple. I of course, along with my husband, son and daughter in law are not members but we were there to be with the bride both before and after the ceremony.

Following the morning wedding there was a luncheon for family and very close friends. Later in the evening a couple hours were spent at a reception for cake cutting, bouquet tossing and desserts. Finally at the end of a very long day for all the families and the newlyweds, the happy couple left us for a week away from all of us.

I will grant that the Latter Day Saints build lovely temples. I took a few pictures while waiting for the Sealing to be over.
