Trick or Treat!

Halloween 2020

I know Halloween will be very different this year for some but for us not so much. Here in Jackson, at least in our neighborhood kids don't Trick or Treat door to door. Also just a bit of a rant but I have always thought that Halloween was for the kids. I have never understood all the adults that get all carried away with costumes and parties. Just me, you may think differently and as Arby's used to say in their commercials "Different is good.".

So however you get through this day I hope something happens to put a smile on your face.

Almost Here

Just one more day and then Halloween. I have the candy ready for the little ones coming to the door. I will have a treat for the ones with hair supplements like colors or glitter, the masked ones, the princesses, fairies, skeletons and super heroes. It is all about the kids and then it will be over and we can all move on to the next holiday which is one of my favorites, Thanksgiving, and we will have a houseful.

Will You Be Ready?

There are many people who get very excited about the Halloween holiday.I always thought of it as a special day or rather night for kids. I know that some grownups really get into it as well and are always on the look out for the very best in Adult Halloween Costumes. Of course there are those who go beyond all the simple costumes and really want to party and go a little wild on Halloween. Finding the perfect one of a million Sexy Costumesavailable is their goal. This is all a little beyond me.

As a mom I needed to help my kids look for Childrens Costumes that they would enjoy wearing and that I was willing to pay for. Making a statement of how cool you are or representing your favorite character or hero is very important to some kids. The decision to be someone from the Harry Potter stories or a super hero or a Disney character or Spiderman can be hard for some and easy for others. As you may imagine in this day and age all the help you need for your costuming or party supplies can be found online. One place you may wish to start your search for what you need to have a fun Halloween, whether young or old could be to start at Halloween Adventure.

Showing off Favorite Pumpkins

I belong to Etsy Bloggers Street Team and it is a great group. The goal is to spread the word about Etsy and the artists and crafters found there. This post today is themed for Halloween and gave me another reason to spend quite a bit of time cyber window shopping to pick out the items I wanted to show off today.

When I started thinking about this project the first symbol to come to mind for the fall season and this holiday was the pumpkin. In true creative Etsy fashion there are hundreds of pumpkin items all different, unique, and as I like to say about myself, created by people who don't know how to stop.

The earrings are by candysart.etsy.com. Aren't they beautiful? Not your typical Halloween earrings are they? These could be worn any time of year.

artTherapy.etsy.com made the Psychedelic Pumpkin. If you purchase one of these you know you are getting a one of a kind item. Can you tell I tend to like nontraditional things? What about you?

As for nontraditional what about Pumpkin Panda by GlassDragonBearsEtc.etsy.com? I don't think the part of the world he comes from celebrates Halloween but that certainly doesn't take away from how cute he is. The things in the picture with him (tree, jack o lantern basket and polymer clay candy corn) are included with him to make a complete display.
