Veteran's Day 2010

To all who have served or are serving their country taking one day of the year to say thank you seems so little. Your service and sacrifices mean so much to many who may never realize day to day how you touch lives without ever meeting them in person.

For answering a call to duty and risking and sometimes giving the ultimate, thank you.

  1. I've never given Veterans Day or what was it, Armistice Day, before it became veterans day, much thought. After all, everyone is a veteran or was. This morning I did read the poem, Flanders Fields, someone had posted on Veterans day and a brief explanation of how it came two be written and published. I had read it years ago but glossed over it with little thought of what it said. It's really a good poem. And being an old vet, I raise my cup of good coffee, because you remembered Veterans Day just past, and toast a very good health for you, ma'am and a pleasant week ahead.
