Live and Learn

Waking up with an achy back this morning was not fun at all. It probably came from too much time sitting in the car on our trip and some of the house cleaning I did yesterday. (I still need to get pictures off the camera from that. When I do I will share them here.)

When I was younger and chasing toddlers these aches and pains didn't happen. Now that I am in the age range for the silver version of vitamins I have figured out that the right balance of movement and rest is so much more important to my well being.

It is sometimes said that you can't teach an old dog new tricks but I have found that life is continual learning. If you agree share something in a comment that you have learned. I love the stories and comments my readers share.

  3. Have you done anything about online eyeglasses? I need a pair (trifocals) but I've been trying to research online sources. I find that many domestic eye firms that sell glasses are owned by Luxottica Group SpA. including Target, Sears, JC Penny, PearleVision LensCrafters and and many online companies. In fact, they are the largest Optical company in the world. But, after looking at all the complaints online, I think I have been scared off shopping online. Just wondered what you have decided.

  4. I am not convinced that getting you glasses online is such a great idea especially if you have special requirements like trifocals.

Getting someone to give you all the measurements to make them work for you can be hard as well. The optician that measures you for glasses wants to be the one to sell you those glasses. The local folks want the chance to measure and fit you so that you get the best possible glasses for your needs.
